A glimmer of light seems to be shining through the low-cost lines: Ryanair has in fact announced new routes to Cagliari, making a total of 33 routes and more than 120 flights per week: two new routes for Malta, Palermo and Rimini are planned, all of which will be operational twice a week, as well as new summer connections to Brindisi, Milan Malpensa, Treviso and Verona. These are just a few of the new services offered by the Irish company that could yet offer us even more welcome surprises, and let us hope for a season of recovery. Volotea has also gotten our hopes up: to celebrate their nine years in business, they are selling off numerous flights at a special discount of just nine euro per flight.Of course, the times do not yet allow for a complete and secure picture of this summer’s air traffic, but the tour operators are waiting in fervent anticipation (as are we!) and keeping constantly updated. We also invite future tourists to include the SOGAER website in their list of places to check, as this company manages the Cagliari Elmas airport. You can find many blogs, forums and social pages online that offer precious information and updates, so let’s stay tuned!
