FAQ
Useful answers to organize your vacation in the best way
How far is the hotel from the nearest town?
We are immersed in the silence of nature, about 7 km from Calasetta, the nearest village, and 18 km from the centre of Sant'Antioco. To enjoy every corner of the island in complete freedom, we recommend having a car or scooter at your disposal: it's the best way to explore everything at your own pace.
Do I need to have my own means of transport?
Yes. Whether it's your own or one rented locally, having a car or scooter is the best way to comfortably reach the nearest towns and move freely around the island.
Is it possible to rent a car or other means of transport directly at the property?
Of course. We have a partnership with a rental service in Marina di Calasetta that allows you to have a car, scooter or electric bike delivered directly here at the hotel. You can request it while booking your room or decide at your leisure once you've arrived.
Is there a shuttle or taxi available to reach Calasetta or Sant'Antioco?
On the island life moves at a different pace, and there are no classic taxis driving around the streets. There are, however, very reliable private shuttle services: the important thing is to plan ahead, as they work by reservation only and their availability must be confirmed each time by the driver. If you already know you'll need a lift, let us know as soon as possible: we'll be glad to help you arrange the transfer in good time.
Is there a shuttle to and from Cagliari airport or port? How far away are they?
Cagliari airport is about 100 km from us, while the port is about 110 km. If you prefer not to rent a vehicle, we can arrange a private transfer for you with a trusted local driver. We'll take care of coordinating everything; we just ask that you let us know a little in advance so we can be sure the service is available. Payment is separate and can be settled in cash upon your arrival at the hotel.
Is the road to the hotel paved?
Almost the entire road is paved, except for the last 500 metres or so, which are on a somewhat dusty dirt track. This allows us to preserve the natural setting and helps keep the place quiet and secluded.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival, and check-out is by 10:30 AM on the day of departure.
Is early check-in or late check-out possible?
On request, and if conditions allow, it's possible to bring forward your check-in or extend your check-out time for a small supplement.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept payments in cash, by bank transfer and by credit card.
How much is the tourist tax?
The Municipality of Calasetta charges a tourist tax of €4.00 per person per night. The tax is only payable for the first 5 consecutive days, so even if your stay is longer, the amount will not exceed €20.00 per person. Children under 14 and adults over 70 are exempt from payment.
Can I book online?
Yes! Booking directly through our website is the easiest way to secure the best rate and exclusive services. At the time of confirmation, we'll ask for the details of a credit card to guarantee the stay. We'll carry out a pre-authorisation, but don't worry: it's not a charge. It's simply a temporary hold on the amount, a kind of guarantee that allows us to reserve the room for you and welcome you with peace of mind.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation policies vary depending on the period you choose for your stay. You'll find all the up-to-date and transparent details directly in our online booking system, so you can review them at your leisure while selecting your dates.
Do the rooms have a balcony?
All our rooms have a private veranda, with a sea view for those on the upper floors and direct access to the garden for those on the ground floor.
Do you have rooms for guests with reduced mobility?
Yes, the ground-floor rooms can accommodate guests with reduced mobility. Before booking, we recommend contacting us directly so we can review all the options together.
What types of board do you offer?
You can choose between Bed & Breakfast or half board.
What are the breakfast hours?
Our breakfast is available from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Do you have an on-site restaurant?
Yes, we have an on-site restaurant open for dinner only, with a beautiful panoramic veranda. We offer 100% homemade cuisine, the flavours of our land and ingredients from local producers. If you opt for half board, your place is always guaranteed; if you choose B&B, we recommend booking in advance.
What does the half-board menu include?
The half-board menu changes every day and includes a starter, first course, main course with a side dish and dessert, with both meat and seafood options. We'll ask for your preferences the evening before, so we can organise everything as well as possible. Drinks are not included and are chosen separately.
At the restaurant and at breakfast, are there options for coeliacs and/or those with intolerances?
We pay attention to the needs of every guest and, on request, we can offer alternatives for coeliacs and people with intolerances. However, we do not have a certified gluten-free kitchen and cannot guarantee the complete absence of cross-contamination. We ask that you let us know of any requirements at the time of booking, so we can make your dining experience the best it can be.
Does the hotel have a private beach?
No, the hotel does not have a private beach, but several coves and beaches are within easy reach nearby, even on foot or just a few minutes away by car.
How do you get to the nearest beach?
Spiaggia Grande is about 800 metres away and is easily reached on foot in about ten minutes, following a dirt path along the cliffside. Alternatively, you can get there in a few minutes by bike, car or scooter.
Are there sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach?
Yes, most of the beaches are equipped with establishments offering sun loungers and umbrellas (with the exception of Cala Lunga, which remains more wild). The hotel has agreements with some of these facilities and can give you useful information for booking. In the busiest months, such as August, it's advisable to plan ahead. When you book directly through our website, we provide an umbrella and portable chairs for the entire duration of your stay, so you can be independent even on the less-equipped beaches.
Is the pool included in the price of the stay?
Yes, use of our 250-square-metre pool is included in the price. You'll find it at the centre of the garden, and it's always accessible throughout the day, perfect both for relaxing and for taking a swim.
Do you provide towels for the beach and pool?
Yes, we provide beach towels at a cost of €4.00 each, to be used for the entire duration of your stay. If you'd like to change it, you can do so at any time for a small additional cost: for a more sustainable choice, we ask that you only request it when necessary.
I saw that there are tennis and ping-pong facilities; do you provide the rackets/bats?
Yes, we provide guests with rackets/bats and balls, ideal for an informal, carefree game. However, if you're used to your own equipment or looking for something more specific, you're welcome to bring it with you.
Do you have parking?
Yes, a large free car park is available just a few metres from the entrance. It is unattended, but it's located within the property's grounds, in a quiet position used exclusively by guests. There is also an internal paid car park, unattended but video-monitored and fenced, with an automatic mechanism the guest can operate independently.
Do you accept pets?
Yes, pets are welcome! The area around the property is perfect for quiet walks and time outdoors. We ask for a small supplement and a bit of care and respect for the common areas, so that the stay is pleasant for everyone. Please contact us in advance to confirm acceptance of your four-legged friend.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we have Wi-Fi coverage throughout the property. As we're in an unspoilt, sheltered spot, the connection may sometimes be unstable. The luxury of being immersed in nature, just steps from the Sardinian sea, has its little "downsides".
